Wishing all of the fathers and father figures in our Rostrevor community a very happy Father’s Day this Sunday! Father's Day is a time to make your father feel special as you create cherished and meaningful memories.  

I’d like to remind families that tomorrow is a student-free day for Parent-Student-Teacher Interviews. I keenly look forward to seeing many of you at the Centenary Gala on Saturday!  

Our Junior Years students were treated to a special Fathers & Special Friends event today ahead of Father’s Day this Sunday. Starting with a sausage sizzle, the boys and their grown-ups ran through a course of colourful powder thrown by enthusiastic teachers and prefects. More photos from the colour run will be included in next week’s Principal’s News.  

This week, our Middle and Senior Years students gathered to hear speeches from their 2024 student leadership candidates. Decisions will be made soon for Head Prefect, Deputy Head Prefect, Head Boarder, Sports, Arts, Identity and House Captains, and will be announced to students at Assembly on Friday next week. Keep an eye out for the announcement on social media!

The Rostrevor community extends its congratulations to Old Collegian, Callum Wilkie (’13) on his selection for the AFL All-Australian Team yesterday! Callum started at the College as a Year 4 student in 2005 - a third generation Rostrevor Wilkie. Callum spent nine years at the College, making the First XVIII team during his final three years and serving as a Prefect in his final year.  

Held at Rostrevor College during the Term 3 Holidays, the clinics are designed to develop players’ skills in a fun, safe and exciting environment inclusive of all abilities. The clinics are open to boys and girls from the wider Rostrevor community in Years 1 - 10.

Congratulations to all students who represented the red and black at Intercol last week. This was a particularly momentous Intercol, being the 100th since it began as just one football match against Sacred Heart College in 1923. Photo galleries and results from Intercol matches can be found HERE.

Well done to all the boys in Years 1 - 3 who played at half-time of the Intercol First XVIII Football match on Saturday! This is the first time Junior Years students have played during the First XVIII's Intercol game. Thank you to the parents, staff and Middle/Senior Years students who helped the boys to make this new Intercol feature a success. 

Well done to our Year 9/10 Basketball team who competed in Round 1 of the Knockout Competition at Cabra Dominican College yesterday. They recorded a tough loss in their first game against Henley High School, but bounced back with a convincing 62-43 point win against Cabra in the second game. Ending the day with their heads held high, the boys rounded things off with a spirited rendition of the Choomalaka song and now look forward to preparing for Round 2.
