Congratulations to all those Year 10 and 11 students who completed their end of year exams this week! We, their teachers, are proud of the hard work and dedication displayed by each of them over the course of the year and wish them all a very safe and blessed Christmas. We look forward to seeing Rostrevor’s most senior learners again at the beginning of next year after a well-earned rest.
A heartfelt thank you to all the Rostrevor families who generously donated goods to the St Vincent de Paul Christmas Appeal over the past few weeks. Your kindness has a truly meaningful impact on the lives of those in our Adelaide community who are struggling with the rising cost of living and might otherwise go without this Christmas. This year, the donations we made to Vinnies far exceed those of the past two years, and I am incredibly grateful and proud of the difference we’ve been able to make together.
The Year 6 cohort travelled to Kangaroo Island this week for a four-day, three-night camp to celebrate the end of their Junior Years days. The boys were tasked with setting up and packing down their own tents as well as helping with cooking and cleaning duties.
The rain and wind didn’t damper any spirits as the boys participated in numerous activities including boogie boarding, fishing, sand boarding and beach games as well as visiting landmarks such as Remarkable Rock and Vivonne Bay. A big thank you to the attending staff who ensured the boys had a great time!
The video below premiered at the Valedictory Dinner last week and captures what it means to be part of the Class of 2024. Thank you to Alex Clark, Thomas Mastrantuone, Pellegrino Iasiello, Noah Mathews and Lewis McDonald for their participation.
Vacation care delivered by the YMCA is available for Rostrevor families on-site over the upcoming school holidays during December and January. For activity schedules, fees and to book, view the flier HERE.

The Rostrevor First XI closed out the term in style with a thrilling one-run victory over Immanuel College in the final match before the Christmas break. Batting first, Rostrevor posted 6/202, anchored by a magnificent 85 from Archah Parisi and crucial contributions from Jake Polkinghorne (30) and Alecs Zorzi (36). In the field, Alecs set the tone with a stunning dive catch to dismiss Immanuel's opening batsman, energizing the side. Tight bowling spells from Charlie Best (2/16) and James Clarke (2/53) helped defend the total, with the team holding their nerve in a nail-biting finish. It was a fitting end to the term, showcasing the grit and spirit of this talented group.
