Volunteering at Rostrevor College
At Rostrevor College, we value the importance of our dedicated volunteers who generously give of their time to undertake many roles within the College.
Volunteers play an important role in the education of children and young people in partnership with the staff of Rostrevor College. Volunteering helps provide quality care and education to our children and young people and supports our College to promote values drawn from the Catholic tradition of faith, in order to prepare students for more active participation in the world. It is important that your involvement and participation is a rewarding and mutually beneficial experience.
Arising from Legislation changes to the Child Safety (Prohibited Persons) Act 2016, it is vital to note that everyone who works or volunteers with children will require a Working with Children Check.
Rostrevor College's Child Safeguarding Policy is our overarching document that provides key elements of our approach to protecting our students from abuse, grooming and neglect.
This forms the foundation of the College's policy framework, procedures, and practices, and ultimately the College's culture with respect to child safety. It is designed to be Rostrevor College's public statement of commitment to child safety and a demonstration of the College leaders' commitment to champion child safety in our College.
To assist our volunteers in understanding the required documentation and clearances required for engagement with the College, as well as information and policies applicable to this engagement with our school, please be invited to review the Volunteer Handbook and Volunteer Application Pack.
Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer at Rostrevor College and welcome to our community. We trust your experience as a volunteer will be rewarding for you.
Yours sincerely
Shana Bennett
