Strategic Priorities 2019-2023
Welcome to Rostrevor College where we are delighted to share with you our Strategic Priorities for 2019-2023. In doing so, we would like to express our sincere thanks to the many people in our community who have contributed to this project over the latter stages of 2018 and early 2019.
To have the capacity to reflect honestly, to engage openly and to plan with hope is the sign of a strong and committed community of parents, students, old collegians and College staff.
As a school owned and governed by Edmund Rice Education Australia, the local community and Principal are empowered with the responsibility of plotting the future course for the College; a course that best captures the aspirations of local families. In doing so, we use The EREA Charter and the four touchstones of Gospel Spirituality, Justice and Solidarity, Inclusive Community and Liberating Education to shape our planning as a contemporary College that is grounded in the Edmund Rice Tradition.
While the plan will guide our work through to the end of our centenary year in 1923, our vision for the care and education of boys stretches much further into our second century of education here at Rostrevor. Indeed, with our youngest students set to graduate in the early 2030's, the strategic priorities focus our efforts on equipping them for life in a rapidly changing world; one quite different from the world into which their parents graduated.
In a rapidly changing world, we believe that the twin values of Palma Merenti and being Men for Others will serve future graduates well, just as they have done for generations of Rostrevor men over the last century.
We commend the 2019-2023 Strategic Plan to you.
