As we find ourselves with only one week remaining in the 2023 school year, it’s a good moment to reflect on the many experiences that have occurred this year. Throughout the year our teachers, support staff, parents and numerous volunteers have played pivotal roles in fostering an environment of learning, growth and camaraderie. As we approach the final days of the year, a sincere thank you to all those who have contributed to making this school year the enriching and memorable one it has been.
While the end of 2023 is in site, we must also look ahead to the beginning of next year. The Class of 2024 had their Year 12 Transition Day today and were provided with an introduction into the expectations and essential requirements that will begin to shape their Year 12 studies. With the summer ahead of them to rest and prepare, we look forward to working with next year’s learners from across the College once again in 2024.

Congratulations to recent graduate Jack Haddad (’23) for being recognised as one of the top ten recipients of this year’s Student Citizenship Awards. The Student Citizenship Awards program is conducted annually as the flagship program of the SA Branch of the Order of Australia Association, of which Her Excellency the Honourable Frances Adamson AC, Governor of South Australia is Patron. The awards are judged on leadership, contributions to the school, community, environment, community development and overall pride in Australian citizenship. The awards are intended to recognise those senior secondary students who actively engage with and contribute to school and/or local communities rather than for specific academic or sporting achievements. A fantastic effort, Jack!

Our Year 7E and Year 7F classes played a friendly internal match today, putting into practice the skills they’ve learnt over the year. While there were a lot of laughs and friendly heckling, the boys brought their A game and put on an impressive display of skills during the highly competitive match. Finishing at 1-1, the match went into penalties, which saw Year 7F crowned the victors.
