Dear parents and friends of Rostrevor College
We are delighted to share with you a larger than usual gallery of photos from the last week at Rostrevor. In doing so, I offer my congratulations to our Year 12 boys for their efforts to bring their formal lessons to such a successful and positive conclusion. We wish them well over the weeks ahead as some complete final assessments while most prepare for examinations at the end of a most unusual year. Our Social Justice Assembly was, once again, a fitting final gathering prior to their departure. Listening to their reflections on various fundraising ventures and acts of solidarity throughout 2020, I was moved by the boys' generosity of spirit and determination to look beyond their own needs in this year that has impacted so heavily on everyone.

Congratulations to our Junior School boys and their teachers for bringing so much joy to our community through their enthusiastic and colourful participation in the Book Week parade earlier this week. Thank you to all those Mums/Dads/family members who made a special effort to organise and/or create costumes.
Finally, many will be familiar with the phrase, 'It takes a village to raise a child.' Over many years working as a Principal, I have become more and more conscious of how true this notion is when it comes to the success of schools and I often find myself inspired by the work and comments of my colleagues. In that spirit, I am delighted to share the following reflection from one of our House Assemblies this week. Read the full reflection here.
Best wishes for the week ahead.

Our Junior Years students celebrated the end of Book Week with our Book Week Parade, where students dressed up as their favourite character. It was great to see all of the amazing costumes that our boys had come up with. We hope you enjoy this short video and you may view the full gallery of images at the bottom of this page.
Last term, Rostrevor's Environmental Action Group participated in a KESAB bin audit as part of its commitment to improving recycling and reducing the volume of material going to landfill. Here's a short video of the day's events.
It's been a huge start to Term 4, with many school events including House Colours Day BBQ, Book Week Parade and the Year 12 Breakfast. View photos of the past week of events here.
