Update from Principal Shana Bennett
Dear Rostrevor Families and Community Members
As rising COVID-19 cases continue to impact our students and staff, I would again like to thank all Rostrevor families for their understanding and flexibility at this challenging time. This week, two classes (Year 3 Black and Year 6 Black) were moved to remote learning due to multiple cases of COVID-19 in those classrooms. This action was taken as an important circuit breaker designed to keep students safe and to ensure the continuity of learning, however, it is not a decision we have taken lightly and I am especially mindful of the impact this has on families.
While remote learning is not our preferred option, I have been impressed by the relatively seamless transition from face-to-face learning to online learning displayed by our young students. As the cases of COVID-19 continue to reach their peak in South Australia, it is likely that further classes will be required to move to remote/online learning for short periods.
I would like to reassure all students and families that Rostrevor College is well prepared for this eventuality with online learning guides and supports for both students and parents/caregivers available on SEQTA.
